Baseline Evaluation, Education in Emergencies (EiE) in South Sudan | 2017

Published by Cynosure on

Designed the research tools for quasi-experimental evaluation of a nine-month programme of support to selected primary schools in South Sudan.

The research also evaluated the results of a two-year implementation programme and established a benchmark for EGRA/EGMA scores across six former states in South Sudan.

Cynosure adapted EGRA and EGMA tests for use in South Sudan, trained a team of lead enumerators on the administration of EGRA/EGMA, student questionnaires, and classroom observations.

We used mutli-level modelling to isolate the effect of UNICEF interventions on learning outcomes in the classrooms.
